Homeless Kids in the United States
By karla keatinge10 Aug 2011
You aren't alone in wanting to make a difference. Yes, the world is a mess but the Good News is that it can get better; all it takes is a little more Love and unity. - This is the message of Hillsong UNITED, who identify the gathering of worshipers on their AFTERMATH tour this August as an opportunity to not only unite in voice, but also in action. In response to nationwide food bank deficits, by partnering with local organizations, Hillsong UNITED will again facilitate an I-HEART :: This Means Love Food Drive in each city they visit.
After an overwhelming response in February and June, worshipers are again being urged to not only remember their ticket, but also some items of non-perishable food. With the belief that Love cannot be measured; only demonstrated, each collection will represent the advantage of unity in the local Church in meeting the needs of local people.

Re: Homeless Kids in the United States
So... the reality of some families in USA now is; chose between food or eletricity? 500 hundred living in motel around the walt disney highway? 16 milions homeless kids in USA? Did I hear it right??
I feel like: why on earth I didn´t know about this stuff before? Like, in what kind of buble do I live? I organise a huge amount of trips every week to Usa and NEVER would ever thought about this reality...
Again, awareness is crucial, definately it is the starting point towards changing. Thanks for posting Karla, it was worthy watching each minute of it. xx
