statistics into stories
HIV/AIDSAnywhere
Inspiration
World Aids Day is soon approaching (Dec 1st). I know a lot of statistics regarding HIV and AIDS, but not so much about the lives of the people behind them.
We can overload ourselves with stats and facts; but we will never know enough until we take a moment to listen to the individual stories.
It is very important to stay up-to-date with statistics, but I find they take on a much greater meaning when you can picture the hearts beating behind them.

What
I read a page from The Guardian UK. The paper partnered with a photographer Gideon Mendel, who travelled to Kenya to ask young people what AIDS means to them. He documented these stories, the short films are available to watch on the website.

We are dealing with people, not just numbers, after all.
