In my city, everyone is just so dependent on getting drunk or taking drugs to have fun because they really think thats the only way. So our youth group was chatting away and one member of the group was telling us how their friend took a whole lot of his non-christian friends out camping. The friends bought their usual entertainment.. alcohol, where he bought alternatives, games and activities. It turns out they didn't drink but great fun learning to be entertained without getting drunk.

One of our members then suggested that we should put on dances like they did in the old days with no drugs or alcohol permitted allowing people to have without alcohol or drugs and giving an oppurtunity for local musicians to play. This also provides our youth to meet other kids in our community thats not a church environment.

Get a space in your local community and just have a dance with no drugs or alcohol permitted, giving a chance for local bands to play, people to meet in a drug free environment hence learning to have fun without being intoxicated, and also giving a chance for our youth to meet others in their community outside of a church environment.
